We are hiring a Director of Technical Operations for our high growth retail division. We have 20+ years of experience working with the US largest retailers to create on trend private label products using our global supply chain of ingredients. 

The Director Technical Operations is responsible for managing operational execution of Tradin Organic Retail products including new and existing co-manufacturing facilities nationwide. The position is key liaison between all Global Desks, Finance, Quality and other cross-functional departments. The position reports to VP of Operations. 


Your responsibilities and objectives:

Operations:

  • Overall management of the operational execution for Tradin Retail which includes from raw material to final packaging to outbound shipments. 
  • Responsible for the development, maintenance and improvement of processes and procedures for Tradin Retail operations team. 
  • Participates with Stage Gate Process.

Relationship Management:

  • Ensures interaction with internal stakeholders (Finance / QA / Traders / Sales)
  • Further develop vendor relations and work on new projects as needed with key partners.
  • Drives ongoing programs supporting cost saving opportunities in freight, warehousing, supply chain, etc.
  • Ensures high level customer experience for both internal and external customers.

Logistics:

  • Provides platform and inputs for transportation rates and services.
  • Working with TUS Supply Chain Logistics, responsible for setting up and managing third party warehouses, carriers.
  • Develops co-packer network to achieve Budgetary and Executional Goals.
  • Oversees the supply chain and allocation of key raw materials.
  • Ensures OTIF Standards through accurate planning and execution.

Strategy:

  • Develops and Manages Procurement Strategies that support a growth mindset
  • Develops Annual Budgets related to Operations Supply Chain
  • Develops and Manages to Key Performance Indicators ensuring Margin Targets are met or exceeded.

Coaching:

  • Provide leadership to direct reports and develop a high talent organization.




Job requirements

  • BS degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, International Trade, or Agriculture.
  • 10 years of experience within the food manufacturing or consumer goods industry, preferably for a major CPG food or private label food company, or in an international commercial environment, preferably within the food industry.
  • 5 years of managerial experience. 

Knowledge and skills:

  • Flexibility and adaptability in response to continuously changing market conditions and entrepreneurial environment
  • Demonstrated success in organizational development (SOP’s, people, KPI’s, team building, etc.)
  • Has a proven and successful track record of delivering results
  • Strong leadership skills with enthusiasm, initiative, and a passion for results.

  • Solid working knowledge of MS office software
