Quality Assurance Engineer
At Tradin Organic, we believe that we have an impact. Quality Assurance is a key role with in our company. The department has a direct impact on processes, products and customers.
We’re looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer who not only cares about quality/food safety and organic complied products, but also wants to make a difference.
What you’ll do:
In this role, you are the link between suppliers, production partners, and customers.
You ensure that our organic products — from seeds/nuts, oils, fruit and vegetables to sugars — meet the highest standards for quality, food safety, and sustainability.
Our responsibilities and objectives:
As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you are assessing new and existing suppliers who are located worldwide, evaluate the supplier information and decide if there are gaps with our requirements. If necessary you fill the gaps together with the suppliers and you decide if and how we are going to work with the supplier and conduct supplier audits.
Our products are produced all over the world and from the production locations transported to the Netherlands. Quality control is an important pillar, to make sure that our products are within specification. You give follow up to product analysis, release products and follow up when products are out of specification. You also implement improvements regarding products and processes.
Some of our products need treatments before they can be sold. As a Quality Engineer you decide what needs to be done and give follow up to the productions regarding the quality/food safety aspects.
Our customers have a key role within our organization. Not only because of product wishes but also because of their need of information. Part of the role is answering questionnaires, compliant handling, customer questions and customer specifications.

What you bring
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food or Life Sciences.
At least 3 years of experience in a QA role (production or corporate environment).
Strong communication skills — English is a must; Dutch is a plus.
Knowledge of food safety, risk assessment, and preferably organic legislation.
A keen eye for detail, a positive attitude, and a continuous-improvement mindset.
