We are looking for a QA System Supervisor to join our QA Team!


QA System Supervisor


The Quality System Supervisor oversees the Quality Assurance department's SOPs, certifications, systems, and KPIs, among other responsibilities. This role includes developing, implementing, and maintaining quality and food safety SOPs to ensure compliance with suppliers, customers, and internal, local, and federal standards. The QA System Supervisor coordinates and handles audits as a liaison between Tradin Organic and regulatory, third-party, and federal certification bodies, such as Organic, Kosher, Halal, Fairtrade, ROC, FDA, and CFIA.

Additionally, the role is responsible for collaborating with the QA Managers on using and reporting quality systems.




Your responsibilities and objectives:

Quality Control:

  • Deliver input and ensures that the quality control plan is current. 
  • Work closely with other team members to develop, execute, and track partner corrective action plans that improve compliance, continuous improvement, performance, and efficiencies. 
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies. Provide input to ensure that the quality control plan is up to date. 
  • Maintain accurate and current documentation related to regulatory standards and food quality. 
  • Collaborate with team members to develop, implement, and monitor partner corrective action plans that enhance compliance, continuous improvement, performance, and efficiency.
Food Safety:
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company-defined food safety standards, systems, procedures, and practices to guarantee the production of wholesome products. 
  • Oversee FDA, HACCP, and FSMA plans, as well as SSOPs, processes for Organic, Kosher, and Halal certifications, ROC, FLOCERT, ERP systems, and KPI reporting, among other responsibilities. 
  • Develop KPIs and track partner performance to report to the management of Tradin Organic USA. 
  • Identifies and analyzes food safety trends to recommend and implement solutions and improvements. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Communication and training: 
  • Clearly define, document, and communicate systems as well as procedures for all team members. 
  • Take the lead during quality and food safety crise in consultation with the QA Director.
  • Manage training for the organization regarding food safety, quality systems, and third-party certifications.

Vendor assessment and audits: 

  • Oversee the annual evaluation of vendors and customers and implement a process improvement plan if needed.
  • Assist the QA Managers with audits done by suppliers, customers, third-party certifications, the government, or other external organizations.

Job requirements

  • BS in Business, Engineering, or a field related to the products being developed.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in food industry, production or manufacturing.
Knowledge and skills:
  • Proficiency in the English language (in writing and verbally); command of Spanish language is a plus. 
  • Familiarity with quality standards and processes to follow federal, state, and local regulations. 
  • Knowledge of the product to perform accurate quality control. 
  • Experience in an import/export environment. 
  • Analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to review systems, find flaws, and pose solutions to those flaws. 
  • Proficiency with MS Office
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
