IT Cloud Engineer

The primary responsibility of the Cloud Engineer is to design and implement complex computer systems and offer infrastructure services. The professional will address any issues related to ICT security and performance. This role takes charge of the software and hardware installations, specification, testing, and service transition.

The IT Cloud Engineer identifies the potential technology innovations and engage with businesses and needs to guide in execution of Incident, Change, Release, Problem, Performance, and Availability Management. This role completes work on major, more complex IT architecture for large-scale enterprise projects with full competency. Furthermore, this position applies hardware engineering, software design theories and principles in researching, designing as well as developing product hardware and software solutions for the computer environments.

Your responsibilities and objectives:

Optimalization:

• Identify the business requirements and incorporate new hardware, software, and connectivity solutions;
• Introduce alternative technologies/solutions to improve or enhance client information systems to support organizational goals;
• Evaluate technology, market trends and industry plus identify prospective impact on business;
• Develop implementation plan for infrastructure architecture on basis of IT strategies and business requirements;
• Identify enterprise requirements for structures, resources and cultural modifications required to support infrastructure architecture;
• Consult with project teams of infrastructure development to fit entire architecture infrastructure;
• Consult project teams to fit infrastructure architecture assignments and identify need to modify infrastructure architecture to attain project requirements;
• Identify need to change technical architecture to incorporate infrastructure needs;
• Formulate detailed plans to add new systems to the existing core infrastructure;
• Provide technical direction and support throughout this process;
• Design and review process of new systems. Develop and propose changes that need to be implemented or integrated across the working platforms.

• Analyse existing systems to ensure that they provide the necessary security and meet the organization needs.

Consultancy:

• Perform as IT consultant and business leader to develop IT infrastructure solutions.

Architecture Maintenance & Improvement:

• Promote organization architecture process and results to organization inclusive of business leaders and enterprise’s IT;
• Lead and direct to prepare governing principles to guide decision making pertinent to infrastructure architecture;
• Enforce infrastructure architecture execution as well as ongoing refinement tasks.

Architecture Design:

• Ensure documentation of entire architecture design and evaluation work;
• Develop and execute communication plus education plan for infrastructure architecture;
• Stimulate evaluation plus selection of entire infrastructure architecture standards commensurate with IT’s business partners;
• Ensure optimal governance structure and comply with activities related to infrastructure architecture adherence.

• BA in IT related field
• 3-5 years of related experience in an international organization.

Knowledge and skills:

• Certifications in related technology a strong plus.
• Strong technical skills and knowledge in a broad range of technologies and platforms.
• Experience with web technologies and building enterprise infrastructure solutions.
• Good English verbal and writing communication skills.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; capable of writing business cases and purchase justifications, training in complex topics, making presentations to an internal audience, fostering teamwork, develop informal project plans.
• Good leadership capabilities to drive tasks to completion and to coach as well as to lead system administrators.
• Leadership capabilities to develop and advance technology strategies.
• Strong quality orientation.
• Independent problem-solver and self-directed.
• Drives for and delivers continuous improvement of both systems and process
• Able to converse with authority across functional areas including database, networking, security, and application development.
• Works under minimal supervision.
• Skills communicating with vendors related to maintenance, licensing and pricing.
